Yuletide: Journalists win car, laptop, phone as Adron Homes host journalists in Lagos 

… Journalists shower encomium

CITIZENS COMPASS —It was a rare Sunday some days ago as many journalists did not envisage to return home with exceptional gifts like a brand new Toyota Camry car, Macbook laptop and iPhone but it was a surprise all the way as a leading real estate company, Adron Homes & Properties willingly doled out these as prizes for a job welldone.

The ecstasy took place on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Adron Head Office, Omole Phase 1, Ojodu, Lagos.

Accordingly to the company, the Toyota Camry was valued at N5. 3m in Nigeria market while the Macbook laptop worths over N2m and the iPhone worths over N1m but all were freely doled out to appreciate the journalists for their partnership in the year, 2022. 

The event tagged  Adron Media Partners End of the Year Party ,saw about 100 journalists who were majorly media entrepreneurs going home with a bag of rice each, cooking vegetable oil and two live chickens after they dinned and wined at the venue. 

Wole Adepoju, the  publisher of www.justnews.com won the car, Damilare, the publisher of Lagos Post Online, was presented with the MacBook laptop and, Michael Costa, publisher of www.pentalk360.com.ng, went home with the iPhone. 

Making the presentations, the Group Managing Director (GMD), Adron Homes & Properties, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, said the winners performed excellently in their submission being the prerequisite for the prizes

According to him, the trio were carefully selected as they have demonstrated all it takes to win the prizes. 

Before the D-Day, Adron Homes management has required that the journalists provide basic information about their brands and out of many journalists that responded to the call, three were selected based on the reach of their websites, public engagement and other prerequisite among others. 

The GMD also started the company’s plans to ensure that many media entrepreneurs become car owners in years to come. 

Receiving the iPhone, Michael Costa, said the presentation was a shock to him as he never expected to be singled out. ‘’I don’t know what to say because I am short of words. I didn’t expect to get this gift but I am grateful to Adron Homes for rewarding my efforts. Thank you so much, Adron Homes, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King and the media handlers for rewarding me.’’

Damilare expressed profound gratitude to Adron Homes after he was found speechless for a few minutes due to the surprise.

“Like Michael Jackson, I am speechless. This is a surprise to me because I never expected it. I want to appreciate Adron homes and pray that God increases the company.’’

Similarly, Adepoju couldn’t control his emotions as he received the car key . “I have believed God for a vehicle of my choice but had forgotten about it due to the increase in prices of items.

“ I have so many things on my plate so I dropped the plans to buy a car but I didn’t know God was going to surprise me this way.’’

50% discount housing scheme 

Spokesperson of the company, Michael Oyadele announced a scheme that will allow the media entrepreneurs to become home owners in any part of Adron Homes housing scheme. 

According to him, the GMD has approved a massive 50% reduction in the scheme to allow participation. 

Many of the media partners have showered encomiums on the company’s media platform.
