Yoruba Indigenes Foundation Worldwide honours Tajudeen Olusi as life patron 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS – Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF) Worldwide, yesterday, honoured Prince Tajudeen Olusi, the Leader of the Governance Advisory council,(GAC), Lagos State, as its life patron.

The appointment took place in Lagos during a visit by the leadership of the Foundation led by Dr Olumide Aderibole who also presented a letter to that effect.

With the appointment, Olusi is expected to use his good office to promote Yoruba culture and heritage, take the Foundation to a greater height while ensuring that the Yoruba heritage is not swept under the carpet globally.

Also, the new life patron is expected to support the Foundation in all ramifications from time to time.

YIF President was accompanied by his Head of Culture and Orientation, Prince Adelodun Akeem and other members like Alhaji Liasu Rasak and Mr Olawale Akeem.

The life patron is a prominent prince from the Olusi Royal Family in Lagos, and also an elder statesman from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Responding, Prince Olusi was elated with the new appointment.

He shared his life experiences and suggested some ideas to be inculcated into the activities of YIF.

Prince Olusi went down memory lane into the history of Yoruba race.

Expressing satisfaction, he said, “I am happy wih YIF for honouring me with the position of a life patron. I am ready to support the Foundation and move it forward.”

Speaking with Citizens Compass shortly after the appointment, Dr Aderibole said YIF would tap from the wealth of experience of Olusi. He said, “Being an elder statesman, we are ready to tap from his wealth of experience.”
