Yoruba Indigenes Foundation seeks cooperation for Alaafin

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– The Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), has called for support and cooperation of all Yoruba sons and daughters for the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oyo State, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade.

The call was recently made by Dr Olumide Aderibole, the President of the Foundation (YIF), via a statemen.

Signed by Mr Sanjo Olawuyi, the Director of Communications and Strategies of the Foundation(YIF), the group described the monarch as a promising one, “The new Alaafin of Oyo is a promising royal father, with outstanding leadership qualities. There is no thought that Oba Abimbola Owoade will prove to Oyo township, Oyo state and the entire Yoruba race, that he is a modern day Alaafin.

“The Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), urges all the previous co-contenders for the esteem throne, to rally round Oba Abimbola Owoade, and arrive at a common goal, which should re-consolidate and re-position Oyo town, as the center of Yoruba legacies, Yoruba values, Yoruba indigenous technologies, Yoruba arts, Yoruba culture, Yoruba fashion, Yoruba morals, Yoruba history, Yoruba language, Yoruba trado-oral apts, Yoruba indigenous democracy, Yoruba military strength, Yoruba artefacts, Yoruba menus, and the oldest check and balancing mechanism in the world.

“We the Yoruba Indigenes Foundation(YIF), see it expedient, pertinent and imperative to kindly advice all aggrieved individuals and groups, to be kindly mindful of their media statements, and not to engage in legal battles, which may drag the ancient and prestigious throne and stool of Alaafin to the mod.”
