CITIZENS COMPASS —The Founder of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), Dr Olumide Aderibole, has hailed an Ondo State Indigen, Chief Pius Akinyelure on his appointment by President Bola Amed Tinubu, as the Chairman of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd.
In a statement, signed by Mr Sanjo Olawuyi, the YIF Director of Communications and Strategies, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, Aderibole expressed confidence that the appointment will yield results.
It reads, “The appointment of Chief Pius Akinyelure, as the Chairman of NNPC will bring positive changes to the Oil and Gas Supply and Value Chain of Nigeria.
“ Maladministration and corruption will be a thing of the past in NNPC. Likewise huge mismanagement of Nigeria Oil wealth will evaporate”.
Aderibole said he is optimistic that, fast and versatile experience and exposure of Akinyelure in several strategic sectors like: financial, manufacturing, telecommunication, and construction be inculcated to rebrand and reposition NNPC.
He said Akinyelure has served meritoriously at Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc and this will enhance his performance at NNPC.
