CITIZENS COMPASS –A woman, Yetunde Olayiwole, has reportedly died in the Sango-Ota, Ogun State following a fight with her former husband.
The incident occurred at about 8:00 pm on Friday.
Spokesperson, Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident in a chat over the weekend.
She said the 37-year-old suspect, Muftau Adefalu who is currently facing interrogation.
According to her, Adefalu and the deceased were reported to have engaged in an argument which degenerated into a fight leading to the woman to slum and die.
She was later confirmed dead at a nearby hospital.
She said: “Yes, 37-Year-Old Muftau Adefalu and his ex-wife Yetunde Olayiwole have had a misunderstanding which resulted in a fight.
“Olayiwole slumped during the fight and was confirmed dead at the hospital she was taken to.”
Odutola added that an investigation was ongoing to unravel the full details surrounding her death.
She did not give reasons for the argument that defeated between the former couple.
