CITIZENS COMPASS – The Oyo State Police Command on Friday, confirmed the death of a 39-year-old man, Olusegun Tinubu, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his 33-year-old wife, Comfort Tinubu, following a disagreement.
The incident occurred at Adegbayi area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on night of Wednesday, October 30, 2024, when the couple were in the comfort of their home.
According to sources, the problem that dealt blow on the three year-old marriage began when Comfort allegedly locked Olusegun out of their bedroom and this culminated into a physical fight.
It was gathered that this brought problems into the marriage which had produced two children.
Sources claimed that during the struggle, Comfort allegedly stabbed her husband at the back.
The matter was incidented at the Gbagi Police Station.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the Command, SP Adewale Osifeso, said the case was under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
He said, “The case is under investigation, and updates will be provided accordingly.”
On Thursday, the social media was awash with the report of a young woman who allegedly poisoned her ex-boyfriend and four others.
Another was that of a young lady accused of poisoning her father.
