CITIZENS COMPASS–The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry popularly known as Deeper Life, Pastor William Kumuyi, has said he allowed some Islamic preachers at a church conference which was held in Rivers State because of the nature of the venue.
He said the Conference was held at the General Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia, Port Harcourt and not a church building.
The cleric said the decision was influenced by the venue of the event.
The 83-year-old pastor made this clarification in a video following controversy about the event on social media.
“People were asking, Pastor WF, what are you looking at, look at that man having his cap on. Yes, we are in the stadium, we are not in the church building, and so I do not have to challenge him, he has his cap on.”
Kumuyi had earlier sent a crucial message to Nigerians, urging them to be selfless and not self-centered for the country to experience the desired change.
