CITIZENS COMPASS—The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has apprehended a man for allegedly stealing prepaid meters in Ikorodu and its environs in Lagos State.
The man identified as Seyi Ogunbase claimed to be a worker with the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC).
He was apprehended on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in Baiyeku, Igbogbo/Baiyeku in Ikorodu Division.
He confessed to have stolen and sold 30 meters within Ikorodu and its environs.
Seyi has since been handed over to the Police in Ikorodu.
It was gathered that he has just been released from jail.
Our Correspondent gathered that he has been bypassing meters for people for his prays.
So far, 30 meters have been recorded.
