VeryDarkMan detained
CITIZENS COMPASS – The Nigerian Police have reportedly detained the popular blogger, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
The arrest followed his controversial video in which he was seen wearing a police uniform.
Popular human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, shared the information via his X Handle on Thursday.
He said, “Our client, VDM has been detained after honouring police invitation just like yesterday.
“VDM has been consistent in saying the Nigerian Police are our friends even when we all know they are not.”
On a laughter mood, VeryDarkMan had shared a video describing himself as a “Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) of the Online Division.” The post which was condemned by the Police also sparked mixed reactions from social media users.
Following this, VeryDarkMam released a video to apology to his teeming fans. “Back from the police station where I was interrogated based on the post I made wearing a costume that the police claim is similar to theirs. I didn’t intend to impersonate the police in any way and I tender my unreserved apologies to the Nigeria Police Force and the office of the Inspector General of Police.”
