Two rescued in Lagos building collapse

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– Two persons were rescued on Sunday, when a three-storey building under construction collapsed on Lagos Island.

The construction work was ongoing at 4, Agarawu Street, before it collapsed on Sunday afternoon.

Many victims were reportedly trapped, but two of them have been rescued by emergency workers who rushed them to the hospital.

Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, saying no life was lost.

He said responders had cordoned off the site.

This is coming a month after a building collapsed at Oriwu Street in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State.
