CITIZENS COMPASS —A trending video has resurfaced online claiming that two people were reportedly kidnapped in Igbe-Alagemo, a boundary community between Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area and Ijede in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State.
The video claimed that the incident occurred around the Igbe-Alagemo area though the date and time of the incident were not mentioned.
It captured a wide-graded road with a thick forest in the surroundings while two young men were crying aloud,
“Kidnapping happening right now in Igbe-Alagemo, right now, what’s all these! They have kidnapped two people, shooting. ‘Dem don go far’
This is the second case of kidnapping around the area within a space of one month.
Citizens Compass had reported that a couple was kidnapped on November 30, 2023, though both have regained their freedom.
It was reported that apprehension enveloped residents and road users along the Igbe-Laara Road, Igbogbo-Baiyeku, following the whereabouts of a couple, Mr and Mrs Tijani, who was said to be kidnapped in the Afa axis of the road.
At press time, the Council boss, Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Olusesan Daini, could not be reached.
