TWO persons have reportedly died while eight others were injured in an auto crash at the Mile 12 Market area, along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 7:18 pm on Saturday.
Florence Okpe, the Spokesperson, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command confirmed this on Sunday.
She said 14 male adults and one female adult were involved in the incident.
According to her, a Man Diesel truck, marked BWR446XE, had crashed due to excessive speed, saying the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
She added that the injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, as the bodies of the deceased victims were deposited at the FOS morgue, Ipara.
While commiserating with the family of the crash victims, she advised motorists to obey traffic rules and avoid drunk-driving.
