Truck, bus collide at Oshodi
CITIZENS COMPASS– ROADSIDE traders, transporters and commuters at Terminal three at under bridge, Oshodi.ran Helter skelter on Wednesday, as a MACK containerized truck and commercial bus collided in the area.
The incident occurred at about 4pm.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the development to Citizens Compass.
In his updates, he said, no life was lost to the incident.
“Upon arrival of the agency’s response team at the scene of incident, it was discovered that a MACK containerized truck with an unknown number plate carrying 40fts container and a TATA bus with number plate, JJJ 550XX were involved in an accident at the above mentioned location.
“Further investigation gathered by the agency’s LRT revealed that the truck lost control due to mechanical fault (brake failure) before fallen on the stationary TATA bus.
“No live(s) was lost nor injuries recorded.
“The agency’s LRT, alongside LASTMA crew and NPF are responders present at the scene of incident.
“The agency’s heavy duty equipment (Goliath) was dispatched for swift recovery. The fallen Container and Truck were recovered. Traffic activities have been fully restored.
Recovery operation concluded.”
