Traffic jam as private jet appears on Lagos road
TRAFFIC in Ikeja axis of Lagos State, was obstructed for hours on Tuesday evening, following a damaged private jet which suddenly appeared on Ikeja-Along.
Time was about 7.30pm.
The sudden appearance of the plane beats people’s imagination as road users express fear over the development.
However, the Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Territorial District, Ibrahim Farinloye allayed people’s fear saying people should be calm.
“It is pertinent to clear the rumour going round on the purported plane crash landing around Ikeja with an obscuring footage in a crowded traffic scene.
After due consultations with all critical stakeholders and tracking of all incoming and outgoing flights in Lagos, there is no plane missing so far.
he said.
There were conflicting reports about the development as an witness said the aircraft crash-landed on the spot, while another said it was damaged and was being towed to the facility of a nearby Federal Airport Authority (FAAN) when it got stuck on the road.
