CITIZENS COMPASS – THUNDER syrike has killed a tea seller popularly known as Mai Tea alongside one of his customers in Kwara State.

The incident reportedly occurred during a heavy downpour at Onigbegiri Junction, Eyenkorin in Asa Local Government Area of the state, Citizens Compass reports. 

An eyewitness, Mojeed Onigbegiri, said, “The victims died instantly when the thunder struck at about 6.30p. m on Thursday.”

Confirming the tragic incident, thr spokesperson, Kwara State State Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, on Friday revealed that “The body of the tea seller has been released to the family for burial while the family of the other victim said they need to perform some rites before they bury him.”
