Three stripped naked for alleged kidnap attempt in Ikorodu

 

CITIZENS COMPASS—Three hefty looking youths have been stripped naked following allegations of kidnap attempt along the Ebute-Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu Division, Lagos State.

The suspects were busted while allegedly attempting to kidnap a car dealer at Ebute Igbogbo road in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, on Tuesday.”

Videos of the incident went viral on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

The videos captured the three naked youths in a blood-stained wagon car with blood all over the suspects.

They were being forcefully interrogated by the mob.

Citizens Compass learnt that the incident occurred at about 3p.m on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

The suspects were alleged to have attempted to kidnap a car dealer before the mob descended on them.

The videos were accompanied with some words, “Three cute-looking-youths nabbed over alleged attempt to kidn@p a car dealer in Lagos.

According to eye witnesses’ accounts, the suspects on noticing the danger ahead ran as far as their breath could carry them but were apprehended, beaten to stuppor and forced into the wagon.

An eye witness simply identified as Mummy Bisola told our Correspondent that she saw the suspects running through Solebo and came out through a popular access road which linked the major road.

“The three ran through different directions but were overpowered and stripped naked in the process of beating.

“One of them was shouting that ‘we are not thieves but begging money to feed ourselves.”

The videos were accompanied with some words, “Dealers please be careful🙏. These boys tried to kidnap a dealer client today at Ebute igbogbo road ikorodu today.”

It was learnt that Policemen from the Ipakodo Division arrived the scene and successfully rescued the suspects.

When he was contacted on phone, a senior Police officer at at the Ipakodo Division referred our Correspondent to the spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

At press time, efforts to reach the said car dealer were unsuccessful and nobody could provide useful information about him.

Responding to a post by an X user, @X_Daily Trends, Hundeyin on n his X Handle said, “Three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka 30, Azeez Sodiq 33 and Saheed Moonstruck 23, have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident, and efforts are on to arrest the remaining two suspects that escaped.
