Three die in Bayelsa cult clash
CITIZENS COMPASS– Three people were reported dead in Bayelsa State following a clash between two rival cultist groups in the state.
It occurred on Wednesday night in the Igbogene community, Yenagoa Local Government Area. The incident occurred at about 8 p.m. among members of Greenlanders and Bobos cult groups.
The armed cultists who were about 10 in number were said to have stormed the area, wielding dangerous weapons with people scampering for safety.
One of the victims was the son of a former leader of the community’s vigilante group, popularly known as Money Sweet. According to a resident who spoke on condition of anonymity, “He was shot near his house. Another victim, who was not a cultist, was killed because he couldn’t disclose the whereabouts of his elder brother.”
The Bayelsa State Police Command confirmed the killings and identified the victims as Donaldson Mison, 28; Addy Mulan, 27; and Greenboy Dudella, 29.
