Three dead as Military, tout clash over fees in Lagos market
NO fewer than three persons were hit by stray bullet when fight broke out between men of the Nigerian Air Force and touts at the popular Ladipo Market in Lagos.
The incident was said to have occured at about Noon but resurfaced in the evening as some touts were resisted from setting the Military barracks at Charity/Oshodi on fire.
It was gathered that a disagreement ensued between the touts and the operatives over fees.
However, the touts subtly matched to the barracks in an attempt to set it on fire but this was resisted by the Military who shot into the air to disperse the touts.
Three unidentied people were hit by stray bullets and this caused tension around Ladipo and Charity.
The operatives later called for reinforcement to douse the tension..
