CITIZENS COMPASS– A male Nigerian has sparked various reactions on social media narrating the nursery school days of popular artist, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake.
The Nigerian who claimed to be the nursery school teacher to Asake, said his mother abandoned him for his father, Fatai Odunsi, when he was three-year-old.
He said the singer was single-handedly raised by his father while the mother paid occasional visits to her son.
The teacher was reacting to a viral video where the father made a public outcry about being abandoned by his son.
Before the outcry, there were media reports that Asake bought two buildings for his mother in a porch area of Lagos only to abandon his father.
In the video, the father appeared to be unsettled and was receiving instructions from a background voice to publicly portray abandonment.
The father claimed to have single-handedly raised his son when the mother abandoned him.
A Facebook user displayed the pictures of father and son when the going was good.
However, rather than addressing the concern of his father, the artiste felt unconcerned and took to social media to share a video criticising his father.
Taking to Facebook, the teacher recounted his experience with Asake’s family, describing the singer’s father as a kind and responsible man who single-handedly raised his son. “One fact about Malo, Asake’s father, is that he was a very nice man—not just to his son but to everyone, including me as his alleged nursery school teacher. Malo never walked alone; he was always surrounded by people.”
“He was a caring father who raised his son alone after Asake’s mother got married to Musibau Alani, also known as Omokekere. Although she visited him in school occasionally, Asake lived with his father, not his mother.”
He also claimed that his brother, who owned the nursery school, was responsible for enrolling Asake at Ebute Ero Primary School.
Concluding his statement, he cautioned people in Mushin, where Asake grew up, against spreading false narratives, asserting that he knew the real story.
At press time, Asake and his mother were yet to respond to the weighty allegations.
A social media user, Balogun Ayodele wrote “Asake if you like take care of your father anything that you do .is only one prayer omo Ase iru e fun. even your money doesn’t show on ur child also.”
Ajother social media user, Akinlabi Ibraheem Alabi wrote, “See Resemblance nitori olohun! May almighty restore him back to good and sound health.’
According to Kosoko Damilola Ksk, “@prince Davies the man is putting on woro carnival jersey. Woro is an annual carnival in lagos island.”
Taiwo Bukola: ‘Ashake pls forgive and forget cuz we also offend God and he forgive us pls for the sake of your God and mum.”
Ettu Mohammed: ‘I believe no be clear eye. Wait all him pals he remember them?”
