Sympathisers throng Alaafin of Oyo’s palace over death of monarch
SYMPATHISERS have continued to throng the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo since Oba Lamidi Adeyemi joined his ancestors on Friday.
Adeyemi joined his ancestors at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
He ruled for 52 years before he was no more making him the longest-reigning Alaafin in Nigeria.
He was aged 82.
Meanwhile, the late monarch will be buried at 4pm after burial rites have been concluded, according to the Oyomesi.
His passing to glory was initially debunked by the palace.
