Suspected ritualist nabbed with 100 baby diapers in Lagos 

… LASTMA rescues three 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS -LUCK ran out of a suspected ritualists who was caught with over100 baby diapers and a huge sum of money in Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos.

The suspect was exposed during an autocrash a multiple accident involving three vehicles at Mosalasi, inward Iyana-Ipaja. 

The suspect was one of the occupants of a tricycle which was involved in the accident. 

The accident occurred on Monday, April 24, 2023, in the morning. 

The vehicles were a Mazda commercial bus with number plate, FKJ 88 XH, a tricycle popularlly known as Keke Marwa with number plate, KJA 369 QM and a white Camry car with number plate, KJA 351 HG on main carriage. 

The suspect was immediately handed over to the Police with the exhibits. 

Spokesperson, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Adebayo Taofeek, who confirmed the incident to Citizens Compass said the operatives rescued three severely injured victims (two males and a female) 

Adebayo said the rescue operation was led by LASTMA Akanji Wasiu (Bravo 16) at the scene of the accident. 

The rescued three accident victims were immediately rushed to different hospitals by thier relatives unfortunately one of them a male reportedly died along the road to hospital.

” Those vehicles involved in the accident were immediately removed from the road to avoid impeding free flow of traffic and handed over to Police men  from Gowon Estate Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigations.

” One of the passengers inside the commercial tricycle involved in the accident was caught with more than 100 pieces of used small children ‘Diapers Pampers’ with huge sum of money of different denominations was immediately handed over to Police men at the scene of the accident.

 ” The General Manager of LASTMA Mr Bolaji Oreagba who stated that it was a ‘man-made’ accident which could have been prevented if over-speeding was avoided.

” He maintained that the government embarked on regular public education on danger inherent in over-speeding by both private, commercial and trucks drivers across the State.

” My Oreagba however warned every motoring public to always ensure that their vehicles are in good condition, particularly the break before driving them on Lagos roads.”
