CITIZENS COMPASS– The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibok-Ete Ibas, has mandated all Heads of Local Government Administration to submit reports on their functions, number of staff on nominal roll, and sources of revenue generation, among others.
Rivers State has 23 local governments and council developments in the State.
This was disclosed in a memo signed by Dr. Itong Awani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Affairs and directed to the Heads of the Local Government Administration in the 23 councils.
According to the memo, the LG administrative heads should submit the reports to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government Affairs on or before 26th March, 2025.
It listed the acceptable template for the report as introduction/preamble, functions of the council, number of staff on nominal roll stating cadre by cadre, and sources of revenue generation in the LGA.
Other templates are activities of the council/on-going and completed projects for the past two years, achievements of the council, challenges, recommendations and conclusion.
