CITIZENS COMPASS– Soldiers of the 9 Brigade, Nigerian Army have arrested
116 hoodlums at Oshodi and other parts of Lagos State.
The arrest was made on Monday, January 30, 2023, during the raids of the areas.
Recovered items include cut-to-size locally made pistols, Indian Hemp concealed in the Holy Bible, telephones suspected to have been stolen, hard drugs suspected to be Tramadol, different banks Automated Teller Machine cards among others.
Parading the suspects, the Commander, 9 Brigade, Brigadier General Isang Akpaumotia said the raids were carried out between 1 am and 5 am.
Areas raided, according to him, were: Railside, Brown Street, Araromi and other parts of the Oshodi axis.
He said, “ The screening is necessary because some of them were arrested alongside others. Those found with drugs will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, those found with weapons will be handed over to the Police “.
