CITIZENS COMPASS – FORMER Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has met with the coup leaders in Niger Republic.

According to Daily Trust, the former Emir of Kano met with the military leaders in Niamey, the nation’s capital, in an attempt to resolve the impasse with ECOWAS.

Videos of Sanusi, who is the Khalifa of the Tijjaniya sect in West Africa, have gone viral on social media on Wednesday. According to reports, the Islamic sect has a large followers in Niger.
