PSC Chairman, Solomon Arase, Condemns Bearing Of Fire Arms By Non-State Actors

CITIZENS COMPASS – The Chairman, Police Service Commission (PSC), IGP Solomon Ehigiator Arase (retd), has condemned the bearing of firearms by non-state actors in Nigeria, describing it as a threat to the security architecture and citizenry.
Arase said this while delivering his keynote address, at the ongoing 3rd Edition of the Annual Security Conference, organised by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), holding at Civic Centre, Lagos State.
Represented by AIG Ade Shinaba (retd), Arase, stressed that the proliferation of small and light weapons in the country if allowed to continue unabated, is not only harmful in this dispensation, but would constitute a clog in both economic and political progress in the country.
