CITIZENS COMPASS–– A popular face on TikTok with account name as “Disturbing” has reportedly fallen unconscious during a live streaming and subsequently died in the hospital.
During his lifetime, the late TikToker was an advocate of justice for the popular late singer, Ilerioluwa Joseph popularly known as Mohbad.
He was said to have fallen unconscious during a live streaming yesterday and was rushed to the hospital where he gave up the ghost today.
Although many of his fans believed that “Disturbing” must have died of a spiritual attack due to the nature of his programmes, his wife, Omowunmi, has dispelled this, maintaining that her husband died of seizure.
According to her, the late TikToker survived a similar situation in the month of February.
A video of the live streaming where he met his untimely death was widely shared with various comments on Friday.
Some of the comments advised viewers to look after their health and be kind to others as death can come knocking anytime.
An investigative journalist, Temilola Sobola, who shared the viral footage with the caption, “A popular TikToker known as Disturbing who was also into JUSTICE FOR MOHBAD passed away some hours ago while he was on a live video…”
In the video, “Disturbing” was before the camera when he experienced a seizure that led to his untimely death.
Some social media users have also speculated the cause of his sudden death, with some attributing it to substance abuse.
An X (formerly Twitter) user, @MezieAbia, said, “Young people should leave hard drugs alone. Hard drugs kill you silently and gradually.”
Another user, @GuyMr0, offered a more spiritual interpretation, writing, “This is not as a result of drugs. At that moment, he witnessed the presence of angel of death, but no one could see it except the dying individual (a moment no one can survive). His time is up; drug abuse may just be coincidence. Everybody will die in the end.”
EmperorDeone speculated that a medical condition might be to blame, “Looks like he was having a stroke. Maybe he was hypertensive.”
An On Air Personality (AOP) in Kwara State posted on her Facebook page, “This is Omowunmi, the pregnant wife of ‘Disturbing’, The Tiktoker that passed away some hours ago
“SHE SAID: Yesterday morning, my husband was on TikTok live video while I was cooking his food in the kitchen. Suddenly he had a seizure, fell down and hit his head on a stone that was in front of him. Bl**d was coming out of his head. A young boy and some neighbours that were passing then saw him. They thought he fainted so they started pouring water on him. The young boy ran inside and called me from the kitchen. When I got there, I told them to stop pouring water and that it was seizure. We quickly rushed him to the hospital where they placed him on Oxygen. He passed away this morning. That was not the first time he would be having seizures. He used to have it and he was on medications. The last time he had it was in February.
“I have never left him to be by himself because of this seizure. If not that I was cooking in the kitchen, I would have grabbed him when the seizure happened. To everyone saying it was a spiritual attack, that is false. It was a medical condition he had been battling with….”
