
Popular TikToker, Seaking regains freedom
CITIZENS COMPASS – Nigerian TikTok personality Olumide Ogunsanwo popularly known as Seaking has regained his freedom from police custody after days of his arrest.
He was arrested on Thursday, in Lagos and taken to Abuja for interrogation over cyberbullying.
The Tiktoker was arrested in connection with allegations of cyberbullying against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Thee Federal Investigation Department, Abuja was said to have effected the arrest.
Popular human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, shared the release on his X Handle on Monday.
He said the Police had originally set a bail condition requiring a Level 10 or 12 civil servant to act as a surety, which was immediately rejected.
“We are happy to announce that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been freed from Nigeria Police Force custody, following our swift rejection of the original bail condition that demanded a Level 12 or 10 civil servant. This led to a quick agreement and release on administrative bail, with me as the guarantor.”
He also expressed gratitude to several individuals, including Inibehe Effiong, Adeyanju Deji, Tope Temokun, and Marshal D. F. Abubakar, as well as the community of citizens who continue to stand against oppression.
