CITIZENS COMPASS – Police in Delta State have intercepted six young boys perceived to be members of Black Axe Confraternity during a routine patrol in the State.
This was made possible through the effort of the operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo Squad while on routine patrol in the State.
They were intercepted along Ibusa Road when a black GLK was conveying them.
Spokesman for the Command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this on his X Handle on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
According to him, “Operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys, upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made Cut-to-size gun, and two live cartridges were recovered.”
He frowned at a situation where members of the public misinterpret Police role in safeguaring the country.
“Ordinarily, when people see Police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of Black Axe confraternity.”
