CITIZENS COMPASS—The Nigeria Police have released one of the #EndBafGobernanceinNigeria protesters in Ondo State, Kunle Wizeman Ajayi, who was arrested alongside others on Saturday.
Citizens Compass reported that Wizeman who doubles as the Ondo State Gubernatorial candidate of African Action Congress (AAC), was arrested during the protest which took place at the popular NEPA Roundabout in Akure the State capital.
One of the organisers of the protests, RevolutionNow disclosed this on its Instagram page on Sunday, August 11, 2024.
It said Wizeman was released alongside other arrested protesters.
It added that one other protester, Patrick Owolabi, was still in the custody.
“Ondo State Gubernatorial candidate of AAC, Kunle Wizeman Ajayi and 5 others illegally detained in Ondo by the @nigeriapoliceforce have been released this evening, the Police force is still illegally holding a student activist, Patrick Owolabi.”
