CITIZENS COMPASS – Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects and recovered fire arms and hard drugs at a slum in the Whitesand area of Orile Iganmu area of the State. 

Spokesperson of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this in a Tweet on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, said the arrest was carried out after actionable intelligence was gathered.

Among the items recovered from the suspects are three locally fabricated firearms, thirteen live cartridges and hard drugs.

Earlier Commissioner of Police in Lagos Idowu Owohunwa and his operations officers had visited trouble spots at Orile along Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The CP’s visit was due to recent reports of robberies and other vices.

Also, following recent agitations by some residents of Lagos State concerning complaints of the resurgence of traffic robberies and other disturbances, the CP summoned a meeting on July 27, 2023, with all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Tactical Commanders, and other strategic officers.
