CITIZENS COMPASS– POLICE operatives in a swift operation in Lagos, have arrested two members of a One-chance gang notorious for operating along Funsho Williams Avenue area.
The operation was successfully carried out Policemen attached to Surulere Division.
The suspects 21 years old Usman Hussani and 25 years old Ebuka Ukechukwu, were arrested following a distress call received from a victim shortly after he was dispossessed of his phone and other valuables.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, disclosed this in a statement dated Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
He said recovered items were two mobile phones, two SIM cards, one Sterling Bank ATM card, one UBA cheque booklet belonging to Ugochukwu (other names withheld) and one brand new tricycle with number plate LSD 360 QN used by the gang.
The Spokesperson said the suspects will be arraigned once investigations are concluded.
“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, hereby encourages residents of Lagos state to always remain vigilant and keen-eyed, especially when boarding public vehicles.”
