CITIZENS COMPASS– THE Rapid Response Squad (RRS), in Lagos State has arrested a 30 years old man, Wasiu Ajepe, while robbing a motorist in Ojota area.
He was arrested at about 11.46pm on Wednesday, wielding a machete, in company of two armed others (now at large).
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command who confirmed this in his tweets said Wasiu, a resident of 21, Taiwo Street, off China Town, Ogudu nabbed after Ojota Bridge, Ketu inward Berger.
He has since confessed to the crime.
“At 11: 45 p.m. yesterday, Wasiu Ajepe, 30 years old, wielding a machete, in company of two armed others (now at large) was arrested by RRS patrol team while robbing the driver and motor boy of a broken down PMS laden tanker after Ojota Bridge, Ketu inward Berger.
“”Ajepe, a resident of 21, Taiwo Street, off China Town, Ogudu has disclosed to be the leader of a clique operating around China Town, MKO Garden, Ojota Bridge and Motorways at night and dawn.
“Efforts are on to arrest his two other gang members.”
