CITIZENS COMPASS– A social event in the Abule-Ado area of Lagos ended on a sad note on Saturday following the death of the Disc Jockey (DJ) entertaining guests at the party.
The 32-year-old DJ, Victor Dickson, was said to be shot dead by some suspected cultists while he was on stage.
Lagos State Police Command have arrested the suspected leader of the cult group, Christian Chukwudi, following the murder.
The incident occurred at a hotel along Community Road.
Confirming the incident on Sunday, spokesperson for the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the leader of the dreaded group was arrested when the operatives responded to a distress call by pursuing the gang members who fled through FESTAC Town. However, Chukwudi also known as “Marshal General” was arrested with the help of FESTAC vigilantes while attempting to escape.
He said a locally made shotgun and a live cartridge were recovered from the suspect.
Similarly, Hundeyin said police officers from Iju Division arrested another suspected cultist, Ibrahim Toheeb, 26, alias “Baales”, at Fagba Junction around 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Toheeb, who had been on the police wanted list for cult-related killings, was caught with wraps of suspected drugs.
