Police Affairs Minister becomes Makama of Fika Emirate in Yobe
CITIZENS COMPASS —The Emir of Fika and Chairman of Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu has elevated the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam from Ibrahim Wadaima to Makama of Fika.
The certificate was presented to the Honourable Minister by Alhaji Abubakar Mamu (Retired Federal Permanent Secretary) on behalf of the Emir of Fika at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Police Affairs, Abuja.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Press, Bolaji Kazeem, and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP).
The spokesperson for the palace Alhaji Sule Dauda pointed out that Senator Gaidam has contributed immensely to the development of the state and Emir in the areas of education and security.
He stated that the Emir and his entourage from Yobe state used the opportunity to congratulate him on his appointment and thank him for his efforts in the development of the state and the country at large.
Dauda said, “We are here to present the certificate of the new title of Makama of Fika emirate, and our people and the entire state will continue to pray for your success as Minister of Police Affairs and impactful contribution as well as effective and efficient policing of the country.”
The Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Nasir Sani Gwarzo, thanked the emirate for finding the Honourable Minister worthy of the new title, adding that the Ministry is committed to achieving its mandate of providing necessary support to the Police Ecosystem to protect the citizens.
In his response to the new Makama of Fika, Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam thanked the emirate for elevating him and promised to be more involved in the palace activities as Makama of Fika. He added that the Emir of Fika has exhibited good character and excellent behaviour toward his people and other traditional rulers in the council as well as an immersed contribution to the growth and development of the state.
