THE Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Nuhu Ayuba, was on Thursday, impeached.
This came after a vote of no confidence by 18 members.
The members made the move at a plenary session and immediately elected Yakubu Sanda as the new speaker.
Sanda represents the Pengana constituency.
Ayuba had served as speaker since 10 June 2019. He was then, 33 and a 500 level law student at the University of Jos.
