Ogunsan to receive Africa Security Watch’s ‘Gold Star Award’

CITIZENS COMPASS–For his sterling contributions to security advocacy, peace, and safety across Nigeria and West Africa, the Chairman of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan is set to receive the Africa Security Watch’s ‘Gold Star Award’ in Qatar, in West Asia, the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), can report.
Until the nomination for the Africa Security Watch’s ‘Gold Star Award, he is renowned for his non-violent approach to safety and security and his immense support and staunch advocacy for better conditions of service for security officers across all agencies. He is highly reputed for his grand contributions to raising material and non-material support for security agencies, especially their command centres in Lagos State.
The nomination for the Africa Security Watch’s ‘Gold Star Award named ‘The Golden Star Award for Security and Safety Advocacy in West Africa’ was announced through a letter co-signed by the International Coordinator/CEO of the awards, Patrick Agbambu and the Chair of the Panel of Judges for the Awards, Prof. Henri Fouche.
Speaking about the decision to nominate the Board Member of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), the letter notes that it is ‘anchored on your professionalism, pragmatism, patriotism, selfless service, and commitment to the protection of lives and properties of persons and businesses in Lagos State.’
He will be conferred with the global honour at the 18th annual Africa Security Watch Awards event from 3rd to 5th December, 2024 holding in Doha, Qatar. The event is organized with the partnership of Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
