Ogungbemide bags MNI title at NIPSS, JOS

CITIZENS COMPASS —The former Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Sector Command, CC Olusegun Ogungbemide over the weekend was one of the 96 top executives who emerged with the highly prestigious MNI award title after a rigorous, 10-month-long training of Senior Executive Course 45 implemented by the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau state, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ably represented by the Minister of Transportation, Senator Seidu Ahmed Alkali and other top-level government officials, diplomats, scholars, and special guests.

The training course can report, provides a fertile ground for high-level engagement, seminar discussion, research, and lectures which is aimed at nurturing and deploying strategic thinkers for progressive leadership across all spheres of national life.

Ogungbemide, being a top gun in the road safety sector, was equipped with the requisite knowledge, skills and insights necessary to champion innovation and implement far-reaching policies. This is expected to keep Nigeria on the upward trajectory in global road safety best practices.

During his 10-month stay at NIPSS, Olusegun Ogungbemide embarked on a major research effort titled ‘Unified Stakeholders Intervention and Road Safety Management in Nigeria: A Study of Lagos State.’ This research work drew extensive inspiration and experience from his days as the no. 1 Road Safety Officer of Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and West Africa’s economic hub. He emerged with flying colours. This unwavering interest in seeking the growth of the FRSC made his organization to sponsor his training.

Ogungbemide’s term in Lagos was well noted for the Corps’ day-to-day excellent performance, robust man management and leadership, and diligence to harmoniously pursue interagency collaboration. Whoever manages Lagos well is good to deliver excellence anywhere, locally and internationally.
