Ogun CP makes first appearance at Command
CITIZENS COMPASS – Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Yomi Oladimeji has made his first appearance at the Command after he was adorned and decorated in Abuja, sequel to his promotion to the admirable rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.
This symbolises device of the Federation, one bar, and crossed tip staves surrounded by a laurel wreath, and that he can perform duties as may be delighted by the Inspector General of Police.
The AIG held his parting lecture with top management team and senior officers on the June 26, 2023 at Police officers Mess gathering in Abeokuta.
He relayed the principal focus of the Acting Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM in alignment with his strategies in positioning the police force within his vision and agenda.
That policemen must continue to exhibit professionalism ,respect, courtesy and civility to members of the public at all time, under his watch, stressing the era of lack of decorum and rascality by policemen will be dealt with severe consequences.
He noted further that the art of shoddy and shabby investigation will no longer be sustainable as he is determined to train and improve policemen on the required skills needed to aid their development in the art of investigation.
Reaffirming his uninhibited commitment to suppressing criminality, he underscored that speedy response to distress call is germane to his administration, and that policemen will better their arrival time at any location while responding to distress calls.
In view to ending pockets of reported incidents of violent crimes, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officer were signalled to intensify their effort to prune off insecurity of all kinds in their area of responsibility,by gathering intelligence from locals, at the same time with relevant synergy with other security agencies.
As soon as the Assistant Inspector General of Police relayed the cardinal lecture of the Ag. IGP Kayode Egbetokun, he appreciated his management team for their devotion to service for the stint time with them, not forgetting his team players, the senior officers present, he advocated that similar unwaving support should be given to the Commissioner of Police taking over from him.
Promotion is a reward for a meritorious service, as the CP made his departure to Zone 11 Command Osogbo, he will be fondly remembered by Ogun people for his mantra, of “see something say something” and his zero tolerance for cultism.
