CITIZENS COMPASS – The Secretary General of NIDO African continental, JP Hamzaosa Ode-Idahosa, on Wednesday, congratulated the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie (SAN).
In a congratulatory message signed by the Secretary General, he described the newly appointed Vice Chancellor as the great choice of outstanding for the office.
Professor Edoba Bright Omoregie (SAN) was appointed as the 11th Vice Chancellor of the University.
He was presented with the letter of appointment by the Pro-chancellor of the Institution Prof. Shaibu Umaru, after a brief meeting of the Governing Council on Friday.
The Professor, will on December 1, 2024, succeed the second female Vice-Chancellor of UNIBEN, Prof. Lilian Salami, who is performing excellently as her role model, Prof. Grace Alele-Williams, the first female helmsman of the higher institution.
The Secretary General in the congratulatory letter written from his Cairo , the capital of Egypt said, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, on his newly appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin Edo state Nigeria.
“Your distinguished excellent career and dedication to served in academics services and legal practice mark you as a great choice of outstanding for the office.
