CITIZENS COMPASS– The Secretary General of NIDO Africa, Sir (JP) Hamzaosa Ode-Idahosa, on Tuesday, congratulated His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare ll, the Ogidigan, Oba Of Benin Kingdom, on the occasion of the annual Igue festival.
The Festival serves as a platform for All Benins to celebrate their rich cultural heritage, Uniqueness, and Grace of God all through the year.
A statement signed by Ode-Idahosa, said the felicitation was, “On behalf of members of Edolites and Edos in Diaspora Worldwide,I congratulate the Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, and all Benin people on the annual Igue Festival celebration.”
According to him, “It is our collective prayers that this year igue festival brings forth good tidings and a stronger bond between the exalted throne and the good people of Edo state and Benin Kingdom.
“Benin kingdom is reckoned as the centre of black civilization in the world, we are proud to be your children and subject. I wish His Royal Majesty a glorious glory celebration, excellent health and the divine wisdom to continue to lead us his people to greatness.
