Music legend Dayo Kujore dies at 63
DAYO KUJORE, one of the pioneers of AfroJuju music, has died at the age of 63.
Multiple media reports said the late musician passed away on Monday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja, Lagos.
Circumstances surrounding Kujore’s death are yet to be revealed though.
Kujore was born on April 4, 1958 in Abeokuta, in present-day Ogun state, and began playing the guitar at 10, rising to fame after creating a new tune from the Juju genre called Soko music.
Some of his released albums include Elevation, Wisdom, Joy, Easy Life, and the popular Soko Xtra.
