MC Oluomo visits Lagos CP
LAGOS State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhajo Musiliu Akinsanya popularlly called ‘MC Oluomo has paid a courtesy visit to the state Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu at the state Police Command, Ikeja.
‘MC Oluomo’ was in company of some state executive members of the association.
The meeting also had in attendance Mr. Oluwatoyin Fayinka (Special Adviser on Transportation) and representatives of Lagos State Metropolitan Rea Transport Authority (LAMATA).
While addressing the visitors, CP Odumosu enumerated various security tips that should be examined and implemented in the various motor parks within Lagos State in order to ensure effective policing.
He noted that his major task is to ensure the security of lives and properties of Lagosians.
He used the medium to reconciled the members of NURTW and RTEAN and noted that we should work together to ensure peaceful transportation of goods and services within the State.
Responding, the state chairman appreciated the VP. and assured him that the Executives and all members of our association will fully support the police force in ensuring peace in Lagos and that passengers are seamlessly transported from one location to the other.
He noted that since he became the NURTW chairman, he has be working on rebranding the union by organizing different seminars and programmes to properly enlighten it’s members and that his efforts have now been paying off.
Also, he informed the Police boss that his members are now well behaved compare to previous years and promised the C.P. of the readiness of the union to amicably work with the police force in ensuring that Lagosians and their properties are safe.
