CITIZENS COMPASS– Amid heavy downpour, vehicular and human movements have been paralyzed in Lagos in the early hours on Sunday,
Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee led by its chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, on Sunday, led some groups of Five Million people in a solidarity walk in support of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and Lagos State Governor, Bababjide Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Femi Hamzat’s victories in 2023 general polls.
During the rally, tagged, “Mother of all Rallies,” the participants passed through Funsho Wiliams Avenue to terminate at Bolade Oshodi area of Lagos State.
The rally witnessed women, men and youths who converged on Teslim and National Stadia, Surulere, at about 9am.
in attendance were members of Association of National Theatre Practitioners (ANTP) while armed security were on ground.
Addressing participants at the rally, the decision to hold the rally as earlier scheduled, followed approval by APC chieftains and stakeholders in the state.
He said, “This is a mega rally, we are shutting Lagos down for Asiwaju Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu.
This is to show our support, strength and capacity for APC candidates because they are the best for the job at hand.”
Some of the participants expressed happiness at the rally saying it will also help them to burn some fats.
