MC Oluomo denies threatening Igbos in Lagos
CITIZENS COMPASS– CHAIRMAN, Lagos State Parks and Garages (LASPG), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularlly known as MC Oluomo) has denied threatening voters particularly Igbos in Lagos State.
He made the denial in a video saying the Iya Chukwudi he was referring to while issuing out the threat during a meeting, was his sister and neighbour.
In the viral video on Friday, March 17, 2023, Akinsanya was captured in the meeting canvassing vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
” We have begged them. If they don’t want to vote for us, it doesn’t call for a fight. Iya Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us, stay at home.”
“Iya Chukwudi is my sister and neighbour and I have always been relating peacefully with the Igbos living and trading in Oshodi.
At no point did I threaten anyone. We’ve enjoyed a long harmonious relationship. Not at this point will I do that. I buy things regularly from Iya Chukwudi and was only joking with her.
“Mischief makers took our friendly conversation out of context just to label me as a bad person. Lagos State has been peaceful and we don’t pray for violence in our state,” he said.
MC Oluomo invited into the conversation, a fair complexion woman who identified herself as “Iya Chukwudi” and said she was not threatened by the transporter.
“I thank God I’m now a celebrity. Little thing we joked with has now made me popular. It was my daughter that called my attention to it on social media.
“I and MC Oluomo have been friends for ages. My people, there’s no iota of truth in what people are sharing on social media. MC Oluomo is my good neighbour,” she said.
