CITIZENS COMPASS –Fear gripped many residents of Ipaja, Lagos on Saturday, May 4, 2024, when a commercial tricyclist reportedly slumped and died in the area.
The circumstances leading to the death could not be ascertained but eyewitnesses’ accounts said it occurred in the morning at Adefemi Junction around Command Road.
The tricycle was said to be in motion when the operator packed and slumped.
Many road users and traders were said to have rallied round the deceased but their efforts were unsuccessful.
The incident has generated responses from social media users.
Agege TV shared alerted Lagosians via its Facebook page.
“ (Commercial Tricycle Operator) Driver Slumps, Dies at Lagos Bus Stop.
“A commercial Tricycle driver whose identity is not known reportedly died few minutes ago at Adefemi Junction around command Road, Ipaja area of Lagos State.
“According to a report by an eye witness who contacted Agegetv Agege studio, he said the driver allegedly slumped immediately he parked his Tricycle along the road.
“We have contacted Lagos State Government Emergency responders to move to the scene to evacuate his lifeless body.”
