IT WAS a narrow escape for many traders at Ikotun Market in Alimosho area of Lagos, when a commercial bus crash landed into the market.
However, there was no loss of life save for the bus driver who suffered serious injuries during the incident which affected free flow of traffic for about six hours.
The incident occured at about 5.30am on Wednesday, 25th May, 2022, at the 2nd gate of the market, inward Synagogue church.
Citizens Compass learnt that the accident involved a crane and a commercial bus popularlly known as Danfo when the bus driver was driving against traffic.
The crane was said to have lost control and rammed into the bus which crash landed into the market.
Meanwhile men of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Nigerian Police Force were able to manage the situation and towed the accidented vehicles off the road.
