CITIZENS COMPASS —The adult male who was trapped to death in the Ebute – Meta building collapse last Friday will be interred on Wednesday, December 28, 2023, at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State.
The deceased, Michael Oluwafemi Okubode popularly known as Okuiboy was trapped to death alongside a woman and 12 years old boy when a two storey building with pent house collapsed on them along Herbert Macaulay Way, Ebute – Meta at about 9.30a.m.
The burial plans released by the Okubodes said there will be Christian wake on Boxing Day, December 26, 2023 at 5p.m., at Salem Cathedral Church, 128, Freeman Street, by Glover Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos.
According to a leaflet sighted on social media, the father of four will be interred on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, after a burial service at 10a.m, at Salem Cathedral Church

It was gathered that Oluwafemi lived around Ebute-Meta but went to the building to hang around when the incident occurred.
He attended African Primary School, Ebute-Metta and CMS Grammer School for his secondary school.
At press time, his widow, simply identified as Mama Zipporah was mourning her beloved husband.
