CITIZENS COMPASS–A man resident in Lagos State (names withheld) has allegedly killed his neighbour and her son over disputes bothering on cleaning of the environmental.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Lekki area of the state.
Lagos State Police Command said the suspect is currently in detention.
Spokesperson for the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lagos.
According to him, the incident occurred on Saturday about 10:50 p. m. and investigation was ongoing to ascertain how the suspect perpetrated the crime.
He said that on September 15, at about 22:50 hours, information was received at the Elemoro Division that the suspect allegedly killed one Gloria, who was his neighbour and her son, over an argument on cleaning of the environment.
He that the suspect put their dead bodies in a big sack to dispose the bodies.
He said that luck ran against him, when other neighbours informed the police at Elemoro Division of the incident.
”Immediately, detectives of the division rushed to the scene, arrested the suspect and recovered the bodies , ” Hundeyin said.
The command spokesman said that the bodies had been deposited at the Epe General Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
According to him, police detectives are investigating the incident.
