Man dies during dry fasting in Lagos
CITIZENS COMPASS—A 58-year-old man has died while embarking on 19 days of dry fasting in Lagos State.
Spokesperson Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Tuesday, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said that the incident occurred in the Alagbado axis of the state at about 600 a.m. on Monday.
According to him, the deceased younger brother, reported the incident at the Alagbado Police Division at about 7 p.m. on Monday.
The Spokesperson said the younger brother said his brother died while allegedly undergoing 19 days of dry fasting.
He said, “No foul play suspected, family demands to convey the corpse for burial.”
