
LSSTF Board Member, Ayo Ogunsan felicitates with Tinubu at 73

CITIZENS COMPASS– The Board member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) and Chairman/CEO of Executive Group, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, has felicitated with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on the occasion of his 73rd birthday,
The President who is celebrating on Saturday, March 29, 2025, has urged men and women of means rather than buy gifts for him to use his birthday to show support to other Nigerians, especially as the Lenten season continues and Eid-ul-fitr, marking end of Ramadan, is upon us this weekend.
In his birthday message to the President made available to newsmen on weekend, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan noted: ‘I rejoice and thank God Almighty for His faithfulness in your life, over the years. The trajectory of your life is proof positive of God’s faithfulness that can make the life of a person replete with impact and success stories.’
‘You have overcome trials and obstacles to stand as one of the towering figures in the political history of Nigeria since independence. You are inspirational, thank you for being a champion for the cause of peace, order, security, and development.’
Ogunsan continued: ‘When you took the reins of leadership about 2 years ago, you took up the most dreaded responsibility of fuel subsidy removal. This singular task won you jeers and sneers because the consequences were as if all hell let loose. But with grit and guts, you are steering the rudder and we are beginning to get cheers from Nigerians and the international community.’
‘The naira for crude deal which you engineered has enabled Nigerians to begin to see drop in pump price of fuel and Nigeria is gradually exporting finished petroleum products as against what used to happen in the past. You instituted the NELFUND which is making it easy for low-income families to access loans to send their children to school, incessant lecturers’ strike has stopped, and you have ordered the increase of monthly allowance for our NYSC members.’
Ogunsan added: ‘On the socioeconomic front, the ease of doing business in Nigeria is getting better, you have attracted huge foreign direct Investment, attraction into the country, there is marked increase of FAAC allocation to our State and local Governments, the tax reform is remarkable, the regional commissions are taking up the task of developing the geopolitical zones, and the cost of food is beginning to drop bringing smiles to all Nigerians.’
‘All these and more are highlights of your achievements in the past two years. Nigerians yearn for more and I trust that God Almighty will help you to achieve more.’
‘Mr. President sir, I heartily rejoice with you at 73; our mother and First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, your immediate family, and the entire Nigeria on this auspicious occasion. May the good Lord sustain you, grant you health and peace, joy, and prosperity.’
